This selfie has caused a bit of an international incident
FIRST, SELFIES BROKE Twitter. Now, they’re causing international incidents
Miss Israel Doron Matalon has found herself at the centre of a firestorm after she took this selfie with a few of her fellow Miss Universe contestants, including Miss Lebanon Sally Greige.

As Lebanon and Israel are still technically at war, Lebanese media have not taken kindly to the image of Miss Lebanon associating with Miss Israel.
According to NBC, Lebanese TV station Al Jadeed joked that since Miss Israel lists reading as one of her hobbies, she should have read somewhere that Israel and Lebanon are enemies.
Miss Lebanon has since said that she was essentially photobombed by Miss Israel and did not intend to take a selfie with her.

Miss Israel, meanwhile, has expressed disappointment with the backlash, writing on Instagram that it made her “sad”.
The Miss Universe pageant will take place next Sunday.
